semolina or suji ka halwa

 Its one of the best tasting and easy to make traditional dessert. It is made especially on Sunday with that puri. 

Ingredients

1cup semolina or suji

1cup sugar

1/2 cup ghee

1cup water

2-3cardamons

Method

In a pan dry roast suji until golden brown.keep the semolina aside and prepare the sugar syrup add 1 cup water,1 cup sugar and 2-3 cardamons .cook it on medium to high flame until the sugar dissolves completely. Then take the roasted semolina add 1/2cup ghee in a pan . Now add the sugar syrup and cook until the water dryes. Add 1tablespoon ghee in the end to get a shine and to make halwa presentable . Garnish with some pistachio and almonds.

Tips

Take a heavy bottom pan or place the pan over tawa while roasting.Roast semolina on low flame very well be careful while adding sugar syrup.
